The Green Bay Packers are focused on replenishing their roster and pursuing continued excellence,
not just rebuilding or regressing.
After trading away future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers in April 2023, the Packers fielded the youngest team in the NFL last year.
Despite predictions that the Packers would decline further following their 2022 postseason miss, they instead made the playoffs in 2023, defeated Dallas in the Wild Card round, and came close to toppling NFC champion San Francisco in the divisional playoffs.
With most of last year’s promising roster returning, a talented quarterback in Jordan Love, and several key offseason additions, the Packers are emerging as strong contenders for Super Bowl LIX.
Defensive tackle Kenny Clark, who has played in three NFC Championship games, shared his optimism about the team’s cohesion and potential.
“This group is really coming together and connecting. If we approach the season like we did last year, we could make some noise and hopefully reach the Super Bowl,” Clark said.
Training camp begins on July 22, and leading up to it, I’ll be highlighting the ‘30 Most Important Packers’ for the 2024 season.
Musgrave’s 34 receptions tied the franchise record for most catches by a rookie tight end set by Bubba Franks in 2000.
Musgrave’s 352 receiving yards are also the third-most by a rookie tight end in team history, behind only Franks (363) and Tucker Kraft (355).
Musgrave, a second round draft pick last April, also ranked fourth on the team in receptions despite missing six games due to a lacerated kidney.
Had Musgrave been able to play a full season, there’s no telling how high his numbers could have gone.
