SAD NEWS: New Zealand captain Tohu Harris has revealed that he will retire from Warriors league due to..

Warriors captain Tohu Harris is out for the remainder of the 2024 NRL season following wrist surgery. The 32-year-old has been struggling with a chronic wrist injury that has affected his performance throughout the season. After consultation, the decision was made for him to undergo surgery, sidelining him until 2025.

Despite the setback, Warriors coach Andrew Webster reassured that Harris’s career is not at risk, as the seasoned forward is already set to return for pre-season training next year. Harris played the first 10 games of the season but then missed several matches before briefly returning in June. His last appearance was on June 29 against the Brisbane Broncos.

Harris’s absence is a significant loss for the Warriors as they gear up for a crucial match against the Canberra Raiders. However, the team remains focused, with players like Dallin Watene-Zelezniak expressing confidence in their ability to fill the void left by their captain.

The Warriors, currently 12th on the ladder, are set to face the 11th-placed Raiders in what is considered a must-win match. The game will take place on Friday at GIO Stadium in Canberra.
