The Miami Hurricanes bounced back from their first loss of the season with an impressive 42-14 victory over Wake Forest on Saturday. This performance, combined with several ranked teams losing over the weekend, helped the Hurricanes climb in the College Football Playoff rankings. On Tuesday, they moved up to No. 6 in the fourth of five weekly rankings, as selected by the 13-member committee. This is a two-spot improvement from their previous No. 8 ranking. Miami’s rise was bolstered by losses from Indiana (to Ohio State) and Alabama (to Oklahoma), both of which were ranked higher than Miami last week.
