GOOD NEWS:PHILADELPHIA EAGLES SIGN FORMER OHIO STATE WIDE RECEIVER PARRIS CAMPBELL TO ONE-YEAR DEAL…

After one year with the New York Giants, Parris Campbell is heading to Philadelphia.

The former Ohio State wide receiver agreed to a one-year deal with the Eagles on Thursday. Campbell will reunite with Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni, who was the offensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts during the 2019 and 2020 seasons, Campbell’s first two years in the NFL.The Giants had high hopes for the oft-injured Campbell after the speedster was coming off of a career year with the Colts in 2022. Unfortunately, Campbell only caught 20 passes for 104 yards during his brief stint in New York. Starting in Week 14, the Giants listed him as a healthy scratch, where Campbell stayed for the remainder of the season.

Prior to playing for the Giants, Campbell spent four seasons with the Colts, who selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He had a career-high 63 receptions for 623 yards during the final season of his rookie contract.

Campbell joins a crowded and talented wide receiver room led by A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith as he follows former Giants running back Saquon Barkley to the City of Brotherly Love.

The Eagles could potentially use Campbell as a kick returner in addition to providing depth at wide receiver. He returned eight kickoffs for 191 yards for the Giants last season and has a career average of 24.4 yards per return over his five years in the NFL.
